Fire Situation

We would like to assure you that everyone here at UPCC are ok, and that all the buildings are ok. The fire didn't quite make it to us, although it came very close. We managed to hold the fire off and prevent it from reaching any of the buildings. It came within about 20 meters. There was a 1.5km fire front around the campsite, but most of it can't be seen from the buildings. It's business as usual now so all bookings are fine to go ahead with. Sadly, the other Stokes' over the hill lost everything including the orchard, houses, sheds & farm machinery but worst of all, Howard's brother David lost his life in the fire. We would like to send out a huge thankyou to all those who helped us during this time by giving their time, resources and prayers. This will give you a bit of an idea as to how close the fire came to us.
